What is music? Music is something that is not visible, yet it exists in the depth of our hearts. Music is something that some of us might not appreciate, yet it can bring power that no one clearly understands. Music is everywhere, everything can be music. From the dew drops in early morning, to the thunderbolts that race across the sky. From the jingling bells of Christmas, to the howling winds in a hurricane.
Whether a piece of music is euphonious or harsh depends utterly and subjectively on your heart. Someone might think that the noise of a trumpet is loud and unbearable, while others might think that strength is ever more powerful and vibrant in their bones. Someone might think that the sounds of waves that surge ashore are bothersome, while others might think that they are hearing the calling voice of the sea and nature.
To me, the best music is from the piano. I play the instrument myself, and I at most times have an irresistible feeling of being transported into a completely different world. In this world, everything is forgotten, except for the non-stopping notes that are like rainfalls landing in my body. My brain goes white, except for the unceasing tune that is sometimes a small stream, and other times a vast fierce ocean. I soar between them, being hurled up by rough waves, and being put into thought by the trickling of water. That is the magical vibration of the piano, making me unaware and forgets everything, totally falling into a dream that seems to last forever.
People might think that they can see music on a piece of paper full of notes. Yet, that is only the gate that leads to true music. It is not possible to see music through your naked eye, or through any inventions in the world. It is only accessible when you decide to put everything down, and use your heart to feel this world. Then, music will approach, and you are able to see it with another eye.
