Three Cups of Tea5：Lost Traditional Life

  Our world now is full of modern buildings and electronic devices. However, even though we developed many great innovations in the past few decades, we have been destroying our predecessors’ original and peaceful life which was in some points better than our current life. 

   Today’s world is more fast-paced and has less access to nature. In the past, nature thrived in our world; children could enjoy serene skies and clean air every day, and nature provided a wide space for the children to play around in freely. In the past, PE class was held outdoors, and students would sweat a lot. Whereas now, some schools like my school, hve PE class in highly-developed gyms that have air conditioners to make it comfortable. From this example, we can theorize that our current world has less access to nature. In addition, electronic devices like mobile phones and laptops have been invented; most people would prefer to play video games instead of spending time in nature. Therefore, we lose the opportunity to enjoy nature.

   Not only we lose opportunities to enjoy nature, but electronic devices also decrease the time we spend with our family. Family is a place for discussion and emotion, not for playing games. Furthermore, lack of conversation is a big issue for our familial relationships and our friendships. People are replacing face-to-face communication with computers and other electric equipments. Moreover, our world is facing many kinds of pollution. For instance, air pollution, soil pollution, and water pollution.

  However, there are some solutions for this problem. In the future, we can try to balance nature and our modern buildings by controlling construction for nature to recover in places. Also, people can make their voices heard by contacting political leaders and voicing their concerns about this serious problem.
